After the FLOKIM diaporamas, it is our friend Marco Dos Santos that gives us one of his now famous ‘movie montage’ (check his work for C.A.R, Tim Paris or Jennifer Cardini). We all think he has upped his game for his re-vision of MARGOT’S WALDORF.
We will not say too much about ARREBATO, the movie from Ivan Zulueta apart that it is probably one of most central picture in the LDDLM broken psychedelic VCR. Marco’s work amplifies the strange relation between projection & vision, watched & watcher, life and death in screen shots, to create a short masterpiece of illusion.
Enjoy and speak very very soon for 002.
This time, on speed-fuelled club mix of MARGOT’s WALDORF.
We could not have passed on working with Florence FLOKIM. We’d briefly met a few times, we had a common love for cinema, but we share this with quite a few people. Then the Flokimotheque caught our eye. And mind.
Stillness in movement/extraction of the non-essential/used images multiplicated to the point of hypnotism.
Making a video for a track needs time. And money. Hit or miss. All of us loved the idea of Florence curating a kind of diaporama for some of our music. She did, framing it in black and white monovision. Expect to see a lot more of her flashes here (and there).
I’d thoroughly recommend you go for the deeper dive too… here.
here’s her splendid work on Erol’s Extended Rework of Margot. Come back in a couple of days for another prime example of image manipulation.

Florence Lucas is perfectly focused and an artist dear to our heart. More on her work with us (and without) tomorrow.
